About this template
A platform bed is a frame, a centre rail and a row of slats. The plan sizes the frame a little larger than your mattress, sets the slats close enough to support it and adds a centre support for anything wider than a single.
The joints come apart again. Beds get moved more than any other furniture, so the frame is held with connectors you can undo.
